An estate sale, or liquidation sale is a way of liquidating the contents of a home or estate. Typically our company, Southwest Estate Sales is called upon when a family is downsizing, relocating and moving, a separation, foreclosure or bankruptcy, or a death.
When a client first calls us, these are a list of questions we will ask:
From there we will go over any questions you may and go over our Contract. Typically, if you make the decision to hire us right away, we take some preliminary photographs as we have a huge advertising campaign. We have a large list of followers which includes decorators and interior designers who follow our estate sales in Phoenix, Arizona. We email each of these individuals photographs with Newsletters. We have a truck who delivers all our display tables, props and signs. Once the tables are out, we organize, display and merchandise all the items. Different photographs are taken daily.
We host the sale on Fridays & Saturdays. If it's a really large estate, it may run through Sunday too. On the last day of the sale, we pay you cash in full and reconcile our books with you giving you an item-by-item Transaction Report and a PayPal Transaction Report.
If a company tells you they can't pay for a few days or even weeks, find one who reconciles immediately following the sale.
