Probably the smartest and most affordable way to furnish your home is through Estate Sales! I met a very nice husband and wife though our company, Southwest Estate Sales, LLC. Nancy & Bob first learned about our Company through EstateSales.Net. They came to a sale we hosted in Paradise Valley, Arizona looking to furnish their newly built home in Scottsdale, Arizona. This particular sale had absolutely stunning quality Vintage Furnishings. Although they considered all new furniture, they decided on used furniture as they were looking to acquire Fine Antique Furnishings. You just don't get the same craftsmanship or quality as you do in vintage furnishings. From this estate, Nancy & Bob purchased a vintage pool table, a French Louis XVI Desk & Chair, A Vintage Highboy, French Linens and some 18th Century English Bone China by Chelsea that was out of this world, gorgeous!
Since that Estate Sale, they have followed us to others. They have since purchased persian rugs, a kitchen table, sofa table and an Ethan Allen Couch. She also mentioned her husband found a huge work bench for their garage. They are both so proud that they have completely almost finished.
Estate Sales have so much in them and each one differs from the other. The trick here is patience! If you can wait, there are all kinds of unique things in estate sales. You can get furniture, appliances, garden furniture, linens, kitchen goods (coffee makers, kitchenaids, blenders etc.). Basically anything you can imagine inside a home. You get these items for a fraction of the retail price. Furniture stores have such an insane mark-up. We get everything from Tommy Bahama Furnishings, Contemporary, Fine Antiques, Modern, Mid-Century and more...So, the next time your considering buying a piece of furniture, consider shopping the next estate sale near your home and then remember, Southwest Estate Sales gave you a great tip!
